Solutions to throw out bearing but don’t know what is what!
So I just replaced my TOB cause of the whurring noise it was making and I searched around the forums and some people said it was the input shaft and some said TOB and it went back in forth and so so. My TOB is still making the whurring noise and from what info I got is that the TOB is still slightly pushing down on the teeths of the pressure plate and one them said that you could also adjust the TOB? Also I like to think it’s the TOB cause when pushed down on clutch = no noise but left off on clutch = noise but if you can change my ming go right ahead. I’m still learning and is welcome for more information.
Likely the bearing on the input shaft. I've had two transmissions do this, across three clutch setups and pilot / throwout bearings.
How loud is it? I've always noticed a slight whirring that got quieter as the car warmed up and became imperceptible. Happens with clutch let out, goes away when you depress the clutch (which implies input shaft bearing). I don't think a slight whirring is anything to worry about.
TOB noise usually happens when you press the clutch. Haven't had a pilot bearing make noise on my Rx7 yet, it's under very little stress. Some cars don't even have one.

As mentioned, did you change the pilot bearing?
If you’re already in there to change the TOB, you might as well have changed the pilot bearing. All that labor for a $10 part..

From what you say it sounds like the noise is coming from inside the transmission.
If it is just a slight whirring noise I wouldnt worry about it.
It is a box full of spinning gears after all.

Typically throwout bearing noise is heard when the clutch is released and will go away when depressed. Some noise is normal when the throwout bearing does not have pressure on it. When the throwout bearing becomes very worn, you will hear it more as you depress the clutch pedal and put the throwout bearing to work.
You are likely hearing a combination of input shaft bearing whine and throwout bearing whine. Cheap throwout bearings make noise. Even the good Exedy throwout bearing in my RX-8 makes a little noise. Nature of the beast.
Did you replace the pilot bearing and seal when you had the trans down? It's important because with a bad pilot bearing, the input shaft's snout is going to be riding around in a bad bearing which can also cause input noise and can seize around the input shaft's snout. Just some things to consider.
