Finally came up with a plan for the oil pan. Decuded to cut up a fd oil pan since its baffled and graph it into the 20b stock pan. Fits and looks great and no leaks

Nice pan. What front cover are you using? 13b REW?

If so, does the 20b pan bolt up, or are you using the front section from the FD?

Using the t2 front cover. Fd cover is different oil pan bolt pattern and hard to find what i needed and cost effective to make one. This worked out perfect for what i need. I will run a banzai pan brace with this also.

Ok. I need to look at your pics again. I didn't notice the CAS thing that sticks out.

Oh ok, thought I was going crazy for a second haha. Any reason you didn't use the FD cover other than the oil pan hole issue?

That was the only reason. I still might modify the fd front cover to work

Update,

Going ***** out now to finish by a event at the end of may.
Dash is out and all the abs is stripped as well as all the un-needed wiring. Only thing now going ou the engine bay is lighting function and engine harness.
Going to pull out the carpet and put some sound deadner in.
I also got started on the turbo manifold a little by getting the merge collector done finally.

Awesome work, that merge collector looks amazing. I still need to get those measurements for you, just haven't had time to pickup the hood from storage.

So your going to use the 20b front cover with the FC trigger wheel kit? Are you going to use FD waterpump and alternator?

So then I assume you'll just bolt the trigger wheel to the hub and then the FD pulley in front?

Thanks!
I did get measurements for the hood. It wont fut my setup
I plan on using a t2/ cosmo front cover with the 20b front pully. I havnt got to that point yet but im sure i will have to make a bracket for the hall sensor to sit right.
I plan on using fd water pump and alt.

You will find that the 20B (6 rib) inverted pulley can not be used with the FD water pump and alt. Simply will not align, since the FD pulley mounts opposite to account for the much thicker W/P housing.

Update: Wiring 90% done, moved fuses and relays from the engine bay to the back, finished the front light harness, ordered a custom aftermarket driveshaft (ie; propellar shaft/ driveline). Shortened the PPF but still need to finish welding it and reinforce it.
I cant wait for paint.

Thanks. I always wanted to fully clean it all up. I redid the dash harness as well. All the engine related wiring will be part of the engine harness and the only other harness is the headlight and marker harness but that wont be visable.

Question about your oil pan/pick-up...

Do you foresee any problems with a modified oil pick-up? I am assuming you're going to or have already modified the oil pick-up (which I overlooked if you have).

If you shorten the pick-up, or delete that dip when it first comes off of the motor and just basically make a 90* bend, will that negatively interfere with oil flow?

I only shortened the end. The dip in the front is still there from the factory portion of the 20b pan.

So shortening the end won't cause any problems? Do you have any pics? I am not doubting I am just curious as I'm going to have to dive into modifying my pick-up tube in the near future.

Your build is great btw! lol

The 20Beest is going back together finallly. Subframe is off for powder coating then the suspension goes back on with new bushings, new brakes and new coilovers.
The interior is almost back together and all wiring working perfectly. Almost ready for Kevin Mcconnell to do his magic on the body.
