We here at Sakebomb are about to begin a project putting a twin turbo 20B in an FD. In searching for documentation we came across this idea posted by Calculon back in the day. After accessing the email (yes, it does still work as of 12/31/19) we found a disappointing lack of info there. We have updated the google drive attached to this account with all the info we have found and will continue to update it with any more info we come across. If anybody has any documents they would like to share with the community go ahead and upload them.

I'll be taking a bunch of dimensions and weights to post in another thread that I can also throw in this one. I'd also recommend just sharing that accounts Drive trunk directory and set up the proper permissions for the public to share and access so someone who is responsible can curate it rather than post login credentials to potentially get hi-jacked by a rando.

I would set up an iOS.group. All my other owners groups are migrating from yahoo groups since yahoo is eliminating file saving. So far, I like the iOS style. Many files allowed. Btw, I have a 20B.
Probably need the same for 13B because technically there is no actual FAQ here, just a hodge-podge archive collection of old threads pre-2006 that are more or less out of date. For less informed 13B people it’s pretty much as big of a hay stack to dig through and figure out the best parts and techniques to use for building a stout 13B turbo engine, even though the more experienced users likely all know. Probably a bit easier than 20B info though, which some people are likely keeping their cards close to their chest for competition/rivalry reasons.

things change, best 13B option right now is just to buy a new one from Mazda, mostly because its new and its cheap.
and the 20B stuff is out there, but all of the factory literature is in Japanese, so its cumbersome
Hello! I found some good quality wiring schemes on 20bmanual google drive. But there are only 7 pages. Do anyone have rest of them? That is a problem to translate old wiring schemes from A-X PDFs from sticked thread in 20b section - they are full, but very low quality and unsharp.
Please help. I will translate and share, like i did with vacuum schemes (already uploaded).

I already did this 3 years ago after a friend sourced the book and scanned it at a ludicrously high resolution. Also made it searchable with Ctrl+F, in both English and Japanese and optimized it for printing on regular 8.5x11" paper. As for the main workshop manual, it'll be finished in a few months once I get all the pictures done.

Thanks for the props, but you can message me here or on FB too. Info is in my profile.
you might consider adding another outlet for it rather than just unsocial media only, but obviously your choice.
I'll keep that in mind. Just had my external drive bork out from a botched cloning/imaging to another drive, taking pretty much all my files with it. It's undergoing data recovery thanks to a good friend of mine and he's optimistic that it can be recovered but it's a wait and see matter. This transplant to a new drive was part of a complete system overhaul to work more efficiently by eliminating as much file shuffling as possible
There's more on the horizon, but until I get everything back, organized and resolved, I'm pretty limited by only having 3gb of drive space to work with. So I put together a simple pin-for-pin ECU conversion guide to adapt between Japanese Series 6 and Series 7/8 FDs. Nothing too fancy, just a single page pdf with terminal numbers, wire colors, functions and target devices. Turns out most of it was kept the same. The only big differences I noticed were the Clutch Switch and Neutral Switch pins were swapped (compared to their AT siblings' functions on these pins) and the fan relay triggers were split apart. S6 has two pins that both can trigger Relay #2 & #4, S7/8 uses one for 2 and 4, and the other one is tied into Relay #3.
If I were feeling REALLY ambitious, I'd add columns for Series 4 and 5 FCs, plus 13B and 20B Cosmo to it. Imagine having a 20B-REW, using the Black Box from a Spirit R to control the twins on it, all with a factory harness. But for a couple hours' effort, I'm happy with it.
