20B Registry

I know that in the FD section, there is a sticky for a registry of FD owners. Is there anything like that for you 20B guys? I know that (due to the cost) 20B RX7s are rare, so I was curious if anyone has tried to start a registry.

If no registry exists, any idea on how many COMPLETED 20B RX7 (specifically FDs) are out there? A 20B conversion is on my dream list (no need to lecture on how expensive it is), & I was just curious how rare of a car a 20B FD is.

I don't know who did it in the FD section... but I think it would a nice thing to have (for current & future 20B owners)

If the mods do it, that's fine... but I'll see if I can get a list started...

If you have a COMPLETED 20B setup, please post your name, & car. If you are in the middle of a 20B conversion, please put your name, car, & state that your conversion is in process.

The only kind of registry us 20B owners could have is with the number stamped on our engines from the factory. There's a long thread started by a guy with the username "now" in this section where most of us have contributed our engines' numbers and maybe a brief description. It doesn't pertain specifically to FDs, that's for sure.

Yeah, thats a long thread though and not all posts are like a registry, and some people have since given up and sold their projects. I vote we start a registry here in the 20b forum. Does it need to be started by a mod, or do we just need them to sticky it or what? We dont need to have it for a specific car, Its good enough for me if you've got a 20b in any vehicle.

You spent 75k on a 20B conversion? YIKES!

Was the engine at least made out of gold & encrusted with diamonds?

No. LOL. I did most of the work myself and there was a lot of trial and error. Bought parts that didnt fit, and a lot of custom fab stuff. That also includes price of car.

I like the idea. I'd say contact the 20B section mod, and see if you can get a sticky going. Title it the COMPLETED/RUNNING (lol) 20B FD Registry, and there you go

I would love to see your posts made sticky, so that we can point all the I-can-do-the-conversion-for-$5000-in-my-kitchen newbies to them.

LOL Really right? I did most of the work with a friend and autotech motorsports finished it off. It took over a year but now runs. Hell. I barely bought the core engine for $4500. Then the subframe and spindles were $2K from pettit racing, The motor, well i dont want to go there but it also was built and tuned from Pettit and couldnt buy it with out a core trade. Thats what makes owning the 20BFd alot sweeter, cause if anybody can do it for $5K than everybody would have one.
