Read my build thread. :P
Eventually this car is getting a set of either Anze Suspension (Angelo Zarra) based Penske's or Ohlin's TPX Front (MacPherson Strut Rally-Spec Long Travel), ILX Rear (TTX Integrated Reservoir Long Travel).
Geometry is a bigger issue than any damper/spring/anti-roll bar/etc, so spend your efforts there. You're local to me and I do suspension design based out of San Jose.
Here's a video of me driving my comfortable (and heavy with sound deadening, huge subwoofer, etc) Acura Integra through the mountains on 500 Treadwear All-Season tires and zero tire squeal. This is my cruising speed (6/10ths).

For upgraded after market stuff the RB springs and Tokico Blues are popular on the forum. You can still get RB springs Suspension Spring Sets - Early Rotary & 1979-85 Mazda RX-7 but the Blues are now super hard to find. Here's a recent thread with some thoughts on that and other options.
The first thing folks tend to do is replace all of the worn rubber parts front and back. Lot's of debate about the Watts link and poly so read up.

Polyurethane is definitely FAR from an upgrade. It's sloppy and creeps after a couple hard drives vs. bonded rubber which is designed to last 80k+ miles. If you're really feeling ballsy, look into companies such as HardRace or MetalCloak to see if they'll build you out a set of custom bushings. I have a few MetalCloak and a bunch of heims on my car. Would NEVER run another piece of Polyurethane, ever. It's garbage.

I have very much enjoyed my setup. My reference would be completely stock FB GS suspension and wheels. My dads FB and mine when I bought it were both completely stock on original rubber etc.
I have done the following:
-All new tie rods (Moog), idler arm etc
-Sway bar bushings, new end links etc
-Stance Coilovers front and rear (rear are adjustable spring perches, not coils)
-Techno Toy Tuning strut brace (however much a strut brace helps.. maybe our chassis is a bit flexy)
-Techno Toy Tuning Adjustable Lower Control Arms (no bushings, solid rod ends)
-AE86 ball joints (beefer and correct roll center slightly)
-TTT tension rod, no bushing (solid mount to frame) with rod ends
-15x7 wheels with 195 and 205 50/15 S.Drives
-Just a bit of negative camber
Compared to a stock FB the setup is amazing. It drives very well, is surprisingly well mannered still over bumps/rough roads, and the lack of any front bushings is great.
Next up is a large bearing rear end with LSD, refreshed links etc. May consider TTT rear lower trailing arms.
There are two approaches, bolt on (what I have done), or you start getting into more complex work like FC subframe swap, rear end swap with new rear suspension fabricated, panhard, redesign etc. Sky is the limit here, like SirLaughsAlot build!
The steering in our cars still leaves a bit to be desired, typically the FC front subframe swap takes car of this and you also would run FC front suspension hardware, brakes, hubs etc.
The discussion should be divided into newly fabricated or bolt on.
I can't say enough good things about the Techno Toy Tuning hardware. Made in California and the nicest welding, powder coating and hardware you will find. Very glad they are supporting our FB chassis because there aren't many other options.

Thanks for the kind words, Tommy.
I chased the FB chassis down and found it's real faults. It's mainly the rear end geometry (pinion angle change vs. travel and higher than optimal anti-squat) and front end being recirculating ball steering. So first thing I addressed was FC Front Subframe grafted in and reinforcing the chassis, then 13BT motor swap, further reinforcing chassis, building a rear end with custom geometry to my taste, and then throwing power at the whole setup with a cutting edge ECU/Turbo combination and supporting mods.
It's a dream build. Incredibly good geometry for a car of any age. These cars may not have had the 240z tax or S-chassis tax, but trust me, all this was absolutely worth it no matter what others think of the end result. It's MY car after all.

Fungus Mungus's car works really well, and its a pretty simple combination.
the front is just Ground Control stuff, the rear is a set of the old Eibach pro7 springs. we replaced the lower links with something like the TTT pieces, and the watts link got the same treatment.
its got a nice ride on the street. on the track its so soft it drags the door handles on the ground, but handling remains really easy, so if there are geometry problems they are small ones.
its pretty modest, but kept up with the 792 in the infield...
if anything the brakes were the big complaint, and it needs more power, and its too quiet (possibly connected)

Guys, I have a set of Tokico Blues in great condition for sale. First one with a decent offer gets them. I'll ship at buyer's expense.
