Perfect idle-->close to stall after rev-->perfect idle

FD3S JDM '01

Ok my "problem" is simple.

When I cold start my car i have an idle around 1100-1200 rpm

After a couple of minutes with engine heating up car sit around 750 rpm and continue to idle without problem.....

If i push a little (around 2000-3000 rpm) and release the gas my car rev down under 500 rpm (i can say that I hit 350 rpm)..engine is close to stall.

After this engine sit for 3-5 second around 500 rpm and after return to 700-750 rpm without problem

Before and after my gas push idle is perfect, no rough, no jumpy....nothing strange

Any idea?

Car is stock except aftermarket intake and exaust

I had this problem. I think it ended up being leaky injectors.

Low voltage fuel pump. I was recently having this same problem and rewired the fuel pump. appears to have gone away...Also, I had my injectors flow tested, cleaned, and new parts. I'll pm you the place I used if you're interested. pretty cheap and very fast turn around.

Check your dashpot. It may be allowing the throttle to return too quickly. It may need to be replaced or adjusted.

Ok then in i'k check in this order.

1)dashpot (hope it's this)
2)injector
3) fuel pump rewire ;_;

Let me ask 2 thing then.

1) i'm in europe. Probably it's not cheap for me to send injector to testing
Anyone know where i can get "cheap" new/used OEM injectors? Or aftermarket ones with same spec of original.

2) for the fuelpump. I have to use a standard tester on the pump (it's in the "hole" near the spare tire correct?)

Correct Voltage? And low voltage issue is around how many V?

Thank you

Ok just checked dashpot.

It's seem completly brocken.

It doesn't slow gas closing at all and White part of dashpot if pushed move only for about 2 mm.

It's faulty or only to register?

How much "travel" a good dashpot do?

Your dashpot is not working right. I think a good dashpot has about 8-10 mm travel. It needs to be replaced. I dont think they can be repaired. You can get one at a Mazda Dealer. They are not that expensive.

Sometimes if you spray a little bit of WD40 or similar penetrating lubricant onto the white plunger of the pot, and then begin working the plunger in and out with your fingers, you can free up a sticky/stuck plunger and it will regain its travel and tension.
I have done this to one before, and it is still operating okay 5 months later.

But, it may not be the case for you. 5 minutes and a squirt of WD40 is cheap to try..
