Weird engine swap question

I am wanting to swap out an engine with a maunal tranny into one with an auto. Is there anything that I would need to get to make this work besides the motor itself????

(Wanting to keep the trannys in their respective cars, just swap motor.)

wait, put a manual in an automatic car, or an automatic car.

you need the tranny, and depending on which way your going, a few different parts.

I think he's trying to put a motor that is mated to a manual transmission to a car that has an automatic. I think he just wants to swap the motor not transmissions

Yuppers, just the engine.

Harness shouldn't matter. I have a custom harness now anyways.

Pilot bearing?? Does this have to be a new one, or reused?

Jon has an auto in his 1st gen and blew his engine. What you need to do is swap the flywheel and clutch for the flexplate, counterweight and torque converter, making sure the engines are the same years as the counterweights vary some between the different years.

Other than that, you should have no other problems. Glad you found an engine so you can get your 7 back on the road.

Well I translate it as this.
You are taking a motor out of one car, it was coupled to a Manual trans.
You just want to take the motor and now put it in a car that has a automatic trans.
You need to remove the flywheel, clutch components and the pilot bearing from the donor motor.
Then you need the correct flexplate, counterweight and starter for an automatic.
