Vac advance Removal.
Simple question, I did search.
Its ok to completly remove the vac advance pods, levers and all right?
Dont see any reason why not, but in every search it said leave them in and simply remove the lines. but I want to be a rebel.

Here's how I did it on my racecar.
This way You still have some adjustability.
Cut open the vaccum diaphrams.
Remove the rods inside.
Cut the head of a long bolt.
Weld it to the Trailing and Leading rods.
Bend some pieces of steel to hold them in place.
If You want to kill the centrifugal advance too, You can either just remove the springs or as I did, weld the weights in "closed" position.
See picture for better explanation

yea I already locked te mechanical advance, thats a breeze. Wouldnt removing the pods just make it a locked 10 degree split. Which is ok for my application.
