Renewable lubricants oil and premix

A quart of oil is 20 bucks and the quart of premix is 20 bucks that’s sounds hella expensive to me . I heard the premix is ester based but so are a lot of other ester based premixes which are not no expensive I see a lot of influencers using this but they ain’t paying for this stuff they’re getting it for free. Anybody actually paying for this ? And how is it plus I heard oil changes at 3k miles that’s insane for a bio synthetic that cost 20 bucks a quart .

What brand are you talking about? I use Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil ($28 gallon /$8 quart) and Peak TC-W3 2 stroke ($16 gal / $5 Qt).

What are you buying ? (Or selling???)

$20 for a quart of oil .. and $20 for a quart of premix?

Wow .. I thought prices were expensive here in Canada!

FWIW:

I checked Walmart USA (walmart.com) and found Castrol 20W-50 motor oil for $18.00 - $20.00 for 5 Quarts. Other brands like Valvoline should be similarly priced. I checked Atkins Rotary and found Idemitsu Full Synthetic Rotary Engine Pre-Mix for $6.00 - $6.25 for 1 Quart.

If you are using your OMP to inject oil from your oil pan into your engine, then I would recommend changing your oil more often (3,000 - 5,000 miles seems reasonable).

If you have disabled your OMP, then you don't have to be as concerned with injecting dirty oil into your engine. You can most probably get away with changing your engine oil less often .. depending on your choice of conventional motor oil or full synthetic motor oil and driving conditions.

If you tuck your car away for the winter .. then just do a fresh oil change in the spring when you're getting ready to get your car back on the road and use conventional motor oil.

If your car is a daily driver 12 months out of the year or if you take your car to the track .. then you may want to consider switching to a full synthetic motor oil - but only if you have disabled your OMP. Make sure you premix if you've disabled your OMP.

All this green hogwash is really just a way to sell us sub standard products at a high price. Ashless premix burns clean as well. The Qt of lucas is 4$ at autozone , They finaly started stocking it after only selling the dinky 5 once bottles for 2.85 . Lucas is good **** and burns clean . Buy it at autozone tho , amazon is a rip off.

I've been using it on my Car at 12 PSI on pump ethanol. (E72%) here in Central Florida area. I WAS running 1oz per gallon now I've backed off to 1 Oz per 2 gallon of fuel from what has been suggested it not being a high output nor a sustained high rpm car (only a street car, spirited driving)

If you have a OMP you should run half an ounce per gallon , no Omp 1 ounce no lower , you have no lubrication without the premix so don't skimp out on it .
