I GOT MY CAR TO START!! 10w -30 after premix?

Hey guys i got my car to start ... anyways im running 10w 30 right now.. i live in florida and we are about to hit summer.. the temperature is between 80 and 90.. should i use 20w-50? ( my 2 stroke oil is castrol super outboard TCW# certified) is their away i could get something that will join in with the 2 stroke oil
like something of the similar brand u know ( viscocity ) umm i don't want to switch to synthetic but if most of u think is a good idea an ur engines have taken atleast 30k on it
ill do it.
By THE way.. the entire OMP has ben taken out lines everything.. i have a 1988 n/a. non-turbo

you dont HAVE to run synthetic. dino juice is fine. i personally use 20w50.

i dont get what you're saying about the premix though? you dont need to add anything else to the gas cept the premix. 1 oz per gallon of fuel.

even if i ran synthetic i wouldnt push 30k between oil changes...thats asking for trouble.

If you have the OMP function, its not a good idea to use synthetic as it does burn as cleanly as regular dino oil does, and most would say the carbon deposits from the synthetic oil (from not burning as clean) out wieghts the lubrication benifits.

But since you have block off the OMP you will benifit from using Synthetic oil as it has much better lubricating properties than dino causing less engine wear making your engine last longer. using Synthtic oil you can wait longer than 3k to change your oil because it takes much longer for it to break down, but I would let it go over 6k with out an oil change.

Sorry i was not sure about using synthetic.
thats why I asked if anyone on the forum has had an engine and run premix on it; and synthetic oil and their engine has lasted more than 30k miles. I do my oil change every 2500 miles. so what kind of synthetic should i use?? won't it hurt the seals set and all that stuff im getting a fULL rebuild from atkins in 2 weeks i and I wannamake sure they set right would that have anything to do with the oil if so .. can i still use synthetic?

synthetic is actually better for the oil seals, makes them last longer, I swear by Mobile 1 synthetic.

since you have the OMP blocked off you must use premix %100, just to make sure you know

means you have to make sure not to forget to put premix in your gas tank when you fill up.

Although I have to believe that the superior pour quality of synthetics have to be a advantage in cold climates I have never seen a oil study done that shows any signifigant less engine wear running synthetic compared to regular oil even at extended (double reccomended) intervals?

Mobil1 is my oil of choice. Running synthetic oils in the motor tranny and diff has actually been known to take drivetrain loss from about 15% down to about 12-13%

I and all FAFracing members typically change their oil every 1000 miles at most. We use Castrol 10w-30 and we are located in Tampa FL. Once you start changing your oil every 1000 miles you will notice that your car runs much better. The more you change your oil = the longer your engine lasts. Premixing will help that along as well.
