why bother, do DLIDFIS... so cheap and easy.

i got my **** done today, despite one daunting problem that ended up bieng the most unlikely thing ever... TWO bad spark plugs causing the leading spark not to jump....

*smashes head into wall*

how the hell does that happen?... especially since the trailings were fine.

Damin it people.

I know someone on here has them. I have a chance to get a great deal through a friend and want to know how many I should get.

Someone on here has an ansewer for me.

As for the DLIDFIS, I could care less which way I go. If I have a chance to do the MSD he I will go with that.

MSD on the trailing is a bit overkill but if you have the chance to get them cheap then why not?

Really? Where do you think I got all my posts from? I'm am in here alot. The lounge is by far one of the less visted sections of things I check out on this site. I'm not to fond of the lounge.

Just one on the leading. I had to upgrade my alternator just to use it and get my headlight motors to work. I think you would need three boxes if you wanted to do the trailing ignition as well because the "wasted spark" is not timed correctly for use on the trailing ignition. I find it hard to believe that you could use three boxes with that 55A altermator.

On my '83, I had one set up. I've since sold that car and bought an '85 SE which will also get ONE. One box provides plenty of spark for the leading via direct fire. Keep in mind these boxes are built to fire 8 plugs if needed - PLeeeenty of fire (IMO) for 2 plugs

Depends on how you plan to run it.. If you plan on running in the 2nd gen - up waste spark arrangement. It will need one for leading and 2 for trailing
