Power

Search keeps crashing my browser. Always has, so FTRP.

Anyway, a question came up last night.

I'm wondering how much power I'm actually putting out of the motor, and how much my car actually weighs now.

1983.5 GSL

Power Mods:

-LARGE streetport, about 90K or so on the rebuild
-Racing Beat SP headers
-Straight pipe until RB Muffler that came with the headers
-Yaw Carburetor (80 % sure. It sure don't perform like my stripped down Nikki, much more powerful)
-Carter Fuel Pump (not sure on the model, but I can check, given to me for free with my Yaw)
-A/C removed
-"Rat's Nest" and all other emissions removed
-Recently rebuilt 5-speed

Weight Mods:

-A/C Removed (estimated 34 lbs)
-Emissions Removed (Estimated 25 lbs)
-Miscellaneous useless Engine Bay crap removed (Estimated 15 lbs)
-Tarring removed (22 lbs)
-Passenger Seat removed (Estimated 15 lbs)
-Carpeting Removed (Estimated 25 lbs)
-Stock Clarion Amp removed (Estimated 5 lbs)

I'm estimating myself at at LEAST 140 FWHP and 141 lbs removed. (making me at about 2200 lbs)

Are these guestimates GLARINGLY incorrect?

You got front wheel drive in there too :-)

I'd say your estimates are close but a dyno and scales are the only way to tell for sure.

The only reason to EVER use IE is for those cases where an uninformed developer created the web site so it would only work with IE (very poor programming practices).

Anyway, this should be in the lounge...I'll leave it alone now.

I've come across another couple sets . . . . email me your address and I'll see what I can do. These ones are in better condition, too, Carl.

At this point anything is better than nothing. If you treat me right. You will get the right feedback and good contacts. You don't want to be my enemy. Carl

Yeah, admittedly, life has been crazy, bro.
Had to get some things straight, but now I think things are back on track, and with this new wealth of Enkei's (HINT HINT PEOPLE!) I think I can spare four.

I have them in gold, silver, and black. All 15x7 Enkei Meshers.

What? A topic made by me? Off topic?!

It's YOUR fault, Carl!

No, seriously, am I in the right ballpark?
