Modify FC or FD exhaust aftermarket components.

Too many people just use Magnaflow or RB just because its for the FB. Personally I would pick something of even higher heat tolerance, and something made for high boost and heat for a rotary.

Well I am gonna run 3" piping with a high flow catalytic converter and Magnaflow makes a really good muffler. If I went with stock exit I'd still use a dual tip muffler because I love that look

ive thought about the dual side exit, but you have to realize that its right in front of the tires, and get whatever they decide to kick up.. plus there isnt as much ground clearence, and it may look dispropotionateor not there not in the right place, but as always just food for thought, and it is your car.

Well I just thought the side exit would be something way different. I would use more oval shaped tips to give better ground clearance. But the whole point was to hear your guys' thoughts on it so keep them coming

For noise and exhaust tuning, rear exit is better. I see no way to get enough muffling under the body for a side exit. It may work for the drag strip, but not on the street.

I have always thought that side exit would look really friggin' cool. I never thought about how lod it would be though Maybe it would be louder. I'm saying side exit. Very different and still cool. Post pics if you go though with it.

well, i have done both and the rear exit in stock location looked and sounded much better. the side exits were very loud and not as deep sounding.

i built my old exhaust using 3" mandrel piping straight off the turbo. making your own downpipe is worth it to have as little amount of bends as possible. i even went under the axle and it worked out great!

not to mention the cheese i recieved from it was absolutely amazing!!!

3" downpipe, two dynomax bullets in-line, a vortex cone silencer insert and a turndown terminated before the rear axle.

I'll let you know how loud it is in about a month when I get it done.
