Pics of engine pan/shield

hi guys,
does anyone have pics of the engine pan/shield? i just saw it mentioned today for the first time on jeff20b's thread and would like to see more pics or get some information on it as my car never came with it. https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...build-1078987/

Your car did come with one but it must have been removed by a PO. I can't imagine one of these cars didn't come with one. It seems to be necessary for more efficient cooling.

that's what i meant jeff. one of the previous owners removed it so i have no idea what it looks like or how it mounts.

I have one off my car that I can snap a pic of. A bolt snapped when I removed it to do the oil pan, and never put it back on.

Here's a pic from the parts catalog.

There are about 5 or 7 screws that attach the front and 2 on the side wings that go into the body.

There's two little metal wing things on each side. One is still on my car with the snapped bolt

I only had 4 bolts holding it on, two each side front and back. But then again my front bumper is held on by zip ties xD

Nice. I zync coated mine to try and get the galvanized look back on it. Kind of looks like that primer
you did.

I painted mine with hammerite gray or silver gray for the galvanized look too. Gray on top, flat black on bottom. Looks stockish.

Finished black top & bottom.
One of the side projects during the 12a rebuild last year.

I've seen pics of engine bays without the pan. Mine is stock, so decided it must serve some function so it got rehabbed.
