i juss baught a game called automodelista for the ps2. u can race people online and the best part is.... u can race a 1st gen rx7!!!! it evn shows up as SA22C RX7! not only that, u can race a rx3, and even a cosmo!!!! so far this is the best game for me. graphics r great, everything runs smooth, and it give u the rush. i juss raced one round and beat a supra and wrx wit the 22c. it was on a mountain track and the the straights other cars would catch up but ill beat em through corners i juss wanted to let u guys know how great this game is. if u have a PS2 go buy this game rite now!!!

Gran Turismo 2 (yes, 2) has a 1st gen. You have to win it though. Its a Savanna 83, turbo I believe.

I haven't won it yet, but people from my club have.

its called auto modellista. im currently playing single player on garage life section. im fixin up the 22c so i can use it to race online later. hehehe... btw, the parts that u can use are all real parts and real brands. collors of my brakes evn changed when i chaged from endless to winmax.

also, no offense, but going by the screen shots... I ain't buying that game..

looks like someone cut out drawings of cars, put in a race track background, and animated it Southpark style...

 

this game is cool, it is cell shaded so it has the cartoonie look and feel but every thing is real on the game.

the physics areent to accurate but hell you can roll in a SA22 with widebody!

i like the game.

 

Ive seen this game before and i thought it might be intresting... im kinda stetchy on cell-shaded games. some producers just use it as a marketing ploy. I think ill rent it first. but thanks for the heads up.

Once we get our PS2 working i'll probably get it... I love cellshading. The kewl thing is those cars are 3D models, but it's a rendering effect applied to them for that cartoon look (aka the cellshader)

 

got that first gen myself on gt2. modded the **** out of it... somewhere around 450hp. it's red like my car, and i even found aftermarket + wheels for it. i used it to beat at least 1/3 of the game. now if only the danged mirrors weren't up on the fenders.....

 

one of the coolest things about this game is it lets you have the ability to make the car your own. i.e. cusom colors, ad stickers, real rims, real tires. mmmm 1st gen with panasports and falkens...... the stickers are cool.

also you can do motor swaps!

i just downloaded a video of it and i think itd be a fun as hell game to play.... you get to mod a first gen!!! i mean **** the game is almost worth it because that....but im kinda scared to buy it with out seeing if i can rent it first...damn block buster damn it alllll to hell

just buy it, hell, i bought xbox and sega gt just for the first gen, without ever playing it.
