oil compacity???
hey i need an idea of how much oil goes into my 85 gsl how many quarts??? thanks guys

This thread is insane to me. You have a full mark on your dipstick yes? When you check your oil level and add oil accordingly do you not fill it to that mark? Do you think the mark is lying to you?

Get a Haynes manual, it will have all the answers you ever want. Here yah go: 1983 on with filter change.
12A 4.9 qts
13B 6.1 qts

The 13b listing is if you are draining the oil cooler.
