no spark 79
hey all, so on the way back from SSX the ignition seems to have died in my 79, i made it to the gym, 10miles from home and then no start...
i had enough tools to see that theres no spark, but i didnt have a voltmeter or testlight in my gymbag, so i had to stop there.
the car has the original points distributor, points, condensors, cap, rotor, plugs and wires have maybe 1500miles on em...
any ideas? i get no spark leading or trailing

You said no start. Do you have spark when the key goes to the On position? In order to test this you need to crank the engine and then let go of the key and watch the spark plug. If it sparks, you have a bad 'start' wire. I believe it is yellow and black.
Did you shut if off and it didn't restart? Or did it simply die while driving?
