Muffler

I want to change the exhaust set up I have on my FB, the previous owner installed a RB header with a glass pack and dynomax muffler set up, which is waaaay to quiet for my taste, so I wanna remove the glass pack but not sure what muffler to use. has anyone used Racing Beat’s REV 25 Rotor Muffler, I know there's better rotor shaped mufflers out there but this one is easy to find, plus my main concern is sound and performance not looks. Everyone always goes with the RB power pulse muffler, I do something a lil different. any inputs?

just remove the glasspacks and put in a RB powerpulse muffler. I did that on my last FB. it sounded great. Quiet at idle but SCREAMED on WOT. I have the full RB exhaust on mine right. I love how quiet it is but i know that its restricting soo much power. borla for me in the near future

What kind of sound are you looking for? And how loud?

I'm running a Magnaflow muffler and I like the sound it emits. Kinda low/bass like, but well behaved, nothing loud and obnoxious.

Not entirely sure what you mean by "N1" but here's the muffler used on my -SE.
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=8135

This is all coupled to a cat and a 2nd Gen NA header. It's not really loud, IMO, however I'm not sure what is considered loud to you. I know a few others are running Magnaflow's Street Series polished mufflers and they like the sound they produce. I know Racing Beat, Borla, and Magnaflow all make mufflers that won't get their insides chewed up from the engine's exhaust pulses.

If you're going street ported and want it to still be fairly quiet, you might consider a presilencer in place of a cat. It should help keep the decibel level down.

by N1 I mean Apex'i N1 Muffler, they're pretty loud, on a street ported engine with no pre silencer, it can be heard damn near a mile away at high rpms, lmao. But, not a big fan of magnaflow, I might go with borla though.

I know you said you're not a real fan of Magnaflow, but here's a video of said Magnaflow in action, just for sound reference. The muffler was decent in price, around $180, IIRC. This is when I had a stock manifold and older cat (no pre-cats). I have no updated video of my new setup with 2nd Gen header, new cat, and e-fans (no fan noise).

[NOTE: picky camera with distortion at loud noises, and the "whirr'ing" noise at high RPM is the stock clutch fan setup]

Here is my setup:

Fairly quiet at idle but really screams at high RPM. Also worth noting that my combo sounds so sexy below 3500rpm. Its almost like a Subaru flat 4 in person, that deep tone. One bad thing is that it tends to make a whistling sound around 2000rpm when just cruising, which is somewhat annoying.
