DLIDFIS and the timing light

I did Jeff20B’s DLIDFIS mod - three coils, three inductors. When I use the front rotor, the leading plug flashed right on the mark. So I moved to the rear rotor the leading plug did not flash on the mark. The trailing do the same as they should

But the leading plugs should fire at the same time.

So I started switching things No change
“A” coil = Front + “B”coil = Rear
or
“B” coil= front + “A” coil = rear same phenomena

I have an old DC Inductive timing light, 85 a 12a
new cap, wires, plugs and HEI

Three inductors? You mean three ignitors, right?

Yes, both leading plugs fire at the same time. One way to troubleshoot this is switch your leading plug wires around, so what was L1 is now L2 and what was L2 is now L1. Note how it runs (fires up, idles, drives etc) and check it under the timing light.

Sorry English is my second language.
Grunting and pointing was my native tongue

That is what I did
Changed the wire from the coils to the plugs

But I take it it is weird

It seems to drive fine

Haha nice!
I just picked up an 85 se with a leaky oil cooler. I'm giving it a good once over (including adjusting the timing) so I'm curious how your troubleshoot will turn out. Keep us updated and good luck!
