Manifold Mishap Hijinx

So, I picked up this manifold with a weber set up atop it. It is supposedly for a 12a but when I go to size it up to the engine the bolt holes don't line up, and it is longer overall when I matched it up to the manifold I pulled off of it. Given it is a Japanese 12a but that shouldn't matter. Is this a 13b manifold? I'm partially pissed and partially disappointed. Any thoughts?

its a 13b manifold. the 13b is 20mm (13/16) longer than a 12a, so the bolt holes should be like 3/8" off on each side (measure ments are approximate).

kenn

edit.

FWIW the houseings are about 10mm wider per rotor houseing.

Yes, hmm.

I'm jazzed now. Think I'll go smash something.

Thanks Kenn.

As an added side note, those carbs should bolt onto any weber down-draft manifold. IDA/IDF whatever it maybe, right?. So as long as I get one for the 12a all should be good, right? Right!?

Resell just the manifold on e-bay and get the correct one.

Get a 12a to 13b manifold adapter and use it. Racing Beat, Mazdatrix RedLine Performance Products used to sell them.

I was thinking about selling off the manifold and trying to locate a 12a sourced one, but it doesn't seem like they make a 12a IDF. And I also think the bases of an IDF vs. IDA maybe different, and therefore the bolt holes. Does anyone have measurements for the bolt holes of a IDA 12a manifold?
