Idle problem with my GSL-SE

Hello! I need the rotary community’s help!! I bought my five letter about a year ago and it has always had this weird idle on cold starts, I have been told it may be vacuum leaks or a tps sensor needs adjustment. I am new to working on cars since this is my first car and I need help on diagnosing this and fixing this! I attached a video on the idle. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

edit: incase the video is not working the idle goes from just under 1k to 1300 and just bounces up and down for a bit

Have you adjusted to TPS using the two led method? There are threads on how to make this led tool and how to use it.

Here is a thread oh using two meters. https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...t-tool-727212/

I'm not sure this is relevant, and it was a long time ago for me, but my 13B was doing that same rough idle, and my mechanic suggested I hit the shaft with a lot of WD40, working the shaft to help it penetrate. The problem disappeared, but it took some repeat effort. Could be a coincidence.

I had this issue since I bought the car back in 1996. The only thing that seemed to work was spraying the intake shafts with Torque penetrating fluid. WD40 and other sprays didn't seem to work but even that fix didn't work on long trips. When I had my no-start issue, I had the injectors cleaned (they were at 96%) and an a new fuel regulator which fixed my problem. While it was apart, I replaced all the vacuum lines. It has not had the hunting idle since. We took it for a two-hour ride Sunday and no hunting idle. I have never adjusted the TPS.

I’m not sure where to search on your profile, I apologize but I have only been on the forums for a little over a year and have not figured everything out yet..
