Depends how much money you wanna spend and what exactly you want from the car.

13B 4 port probably has the most power potential but you'll need to mod the engine bracket/crossmember and possibly the front cover and sump (depending on which year engine you use) to make it fit.

12A on the other hand will bolt straight back in but is more peaky in nature which is fun in it's own way.

That's crap... there's barely any difference in the sound. It all depends on the exhaust system.

yeah ... it all comes down to the money you have to spend.

streetport 13B will require a whole new intake and headers on top of the money used to build it, and like revhed said, depending on which year, you may have to get front cover and oil from an SE.

streetport 12A will require just a few adjustments to your fuel system and if you don't already have headers, then get them - but that's all you'll need on top of the cost of building the motor.

What are you talking about. Yes the sound is similar, but the 13b is much deeper.

It doesn't matter. The exhaust note should be the byproduct of performance. Build the best system with the money you have and you'll be happy with the sound.

well the headers are the same price, and the actualy engines differ in price by about $50 (we priced out 100% new parts), the only difference is that you need some sort of an intake for the 13b. the 13b will make more power (its bigger). unless you have a bunch of 12a go fast stuff the 13b is prolly a better choice

13B no question; much more flexibility and power potential. Makes significantly more power with the same parts. Of course you'll need a new intake manifold and headers, but that's no big deal. Who cares that you can't run your stock Nikki setup - you wouldn't want to run that on a ported 12A either. A good carb and ported 13B will make power-o-plenty... I wouldn't screw around with 12A's if you have the choice.

The good thing about rebuilding the 12a is you know where its been. Buying a 13b is a bit of a gamble unless you go expensive and go to a good rebuilding house.

You can actually cut the Header flange in half, and manually pry the two header tubers apart, and the 12A header will bolt onto the 13B.

Saving some money = good thing.
