getting better spark

im going Locked Dizzy and keeping the ignition system the same. What I am curious about is if I can get better spark by replacing the stock coils with something a little more powerful and more ummph. Something that wont change the ignition system. I know I know direct fire direct fire, I really just dont want to go that route.

so I just switch them out (the ones I can get at autozone) and rewire them and it will fire right up.

If you're going to invest in MSD coils, you should go ahead with DLIDFIS-- Only a couple of hours of work to create the wiring harness. I did mine recently, and now it doesn't turn over a few times and then fire up like it used to-- it fires when I turn the key. I love it!

2 MSD Blaster II coils, 2 HEI igniters, mounting brackets, wire, connectors, 12 volt relay, 30 amp fuse, new cut-to-custom length spark plug wires- about $150

Everyone talks about MSD coils, are Accel ok? I picked some up a few days ago, but can easily return them. They are a few dollars cheaper.

Locking your dizzy isn't going to help with anything unless you're turbo
