Today, I had to cut the inner quarter panel lips off. Rolling the lips just wasn't good enough.

Looks like I might need to c-notch the frame at some point if I want to keep it real real low.

I just dont see how you are going to be able to run it that low without having rubbing issues, esspecially during launches.

Great work. Keep it up. Are you going to keep this one or sell it like the FD?

I'll keep this one. I like it . The reason I sold my FD was to buy a house.

As you see in the pictures, it didn't roll freely without rubbing the inner fender lips. I cut the inner fender lips off yesterday , that solved the rubbing problem.

Right now, the axle housing is 2 inches fromt he frame rails. So, something will need to be done with that if I want to keep it this low. Honestly, I'll probably raise the car another inch and be done with it. Or not........

iam really diggin this project , i love a woman with big hips , but this bitch has hips and *** the two inches you have might be enough for travel , once you start dialing in ur suspension you will trully know how much you will need to limmit your front end for weight transfer , but with those big *** hips your front end should be at no more than 1/2 " neg since most of the possitive travel you will get from your tires you will be a track in little or no time , this car is moving along nicelly , great job

****!!!! I wanna replicate that setup on an FC....
so? 325 x 28 tire? Or a 26?

I love the look of the tires. You have what? 2 inches of tire showing between the top of the wheel and the fender? I love how low it is...
I refuse to have the *** of my car flating a foot up in the air.

You better fully carpet it in there.

FULL OF WIN!

Did you just tie into the rockers or did you tie at all to the stock rear rails? Where did you measure off of to make sure the crossmember was square in the car?

I only tied into the rocker panels. We used to indicator points on the stock frame to square up the crossmember.

I also got the frame rails and shock mounts boxed in. I used 1/8 plate for the shock mounts and 20 gauge for boxing in the top of the frame. I'm not very good at welding that thin sheet metal. Actually, I'm not very good at welding PERIOD

Hoping to get the back half of the car painted tommorow, if the weather is above freezing

Its not about how the welds look, you can always paint over them or brush them with a grinder. Its about how well they hold that monster of an axle in there.

And they don't look all that bad... What are you using MIG?

Yeah, I use a Lincoln Mig. But, I've had http://www.hyperformanceracing.com/ do most of my Tigging.

Speaking of grinding, I have alot of that to do today before I start POR-15 it all
