Distributor Spark Plug Wire Order

I need help finding out the firing order and the position of the spark plug wires on the distributor cap. MY newly aqquired 81 needs work, and it's been idling very strangely, and dying. The biggest problem is when the pedal is pushed to the floor, the RPMs just creep slowly up. Anyone know anything?

okay, start from the plug ( vent?) and go clockwise; rear low plug, front low plug, front coil, front-top plug, rear-top plug, and the middle is the rear coil. hope you can understand that, if not sorry. hopefully somebody can draw you a picture.

The dizzy cap will say L T L1 L2 T1 T2 On the rotor housings it may or may not say which one goes to which but the rotor housing closest to the radiator is 1 and the rear is 2. The top spark plugs are the t (trailing) and the bottom spark plugs are L (leading). So starting with the top left spark plug the order is T1 T2 L2 L1

The L and T plugs on the dizzy cap go to the coils. I "think" that the one closest to the fron of the car is the trailing and the one closest to the rear is the leading. Can someone confirm that or does it even matter?

Get a HAynes Manual It shows you the positions of the plug/wires. That is what I used.

In my haynes manual this is what they show....don't know if it will help.
The Haynes manual is confusing.

I do draw!

I will check the order of mine tomorrow to verify & post.
