what direction should the 5th and 6ths ports be turned to be open? and how do i adjust the air fuel ratio? thanks

The port closest to the firewall turns counter-clockwise to open...other side is the opposite. That would be from standing over the right fender. As far as the air/fuel adjustment....I've never done it....and reading about it in a manual sounds complicated with several steps involved.

Why are you trying to adjust the mixture? once you start fooling with it you start

i am planning on going carb this summer so why not take the chance to learn about something by tearing it apart?

It's great tp learn new things but screwing with the injection system on a se is asking for alot of headaches. the only reason to take the 6 ports out is to either have them modified or to clean them. their is nothing to gained by trying to adjust the a/fuel mixture. Your time would be better spent making sure the car is safe to drive and that it is in tune. Before you go to carb setup if you do not already have you will need a header system or that two will be a waste of time. rx7doctor

i already have a header on the car, so check that one off. as far as messing with the fi system i have another car to drive if i screw it up too bad, the rex sits 5 out of 7 days of the week anyways. i just seem to appreciate my car more the more i mess with it

Well if you are that much a glutten for punishment, dump the stock injection setup. Put on a s4 intake system and get a ported t/body for it. rx7doctor
