Theres water in gas. You get it from the pump. Usually does no harm unless the car sits for a long time. Then it collects and sits at the bottom of the tank and starts it rusting, which wont stop. It can then clog up the outlet of the tank, the filter etc.

drygas is basically alcohol. Alcohol apsorbs water.

I think "Heet" is what you're looking for. It's not used much anymore, especially in places where the gasoline is loaded with methanol.

"where can i get this "drygas""

I've got some I got on special, only $3.98 a pint. I'll send you some for half that, shipping included.

Poured gas down carb. car ran til ran out of gas (had fuel cut relay removed) so are we still looking at a vac leak? Oh and coils are getting 12v when car is in the on position.

I'm still thinking there's a vacuum leak somewhere. Have you tried turning the idle set screw to get the idle up enough to check for leaks while it runs?

Also, have you done a compression test?

Did the "audio" compression test and all is fine, and it ran perfectly when gas was poured in the carb, very strong, and with NO hesitation even in the higher RPM's.
I was told by a local rotary friend to open up the "top of the carb" and check for blockages in the bowls.

Is your fuel pump working? The rear ignitor might be bad, which takes out the fuel pump. Hot wire the pump and see if that works. Then all you need is a rear ignitor.

Fuel pump works fine, Rear ignitor is fine cause it runs when fuel is poured down carb

I was doing fine without the rear ignitor, hardly noticed it wasn't working. Only about 10% of the power. But damn when the fuel pump stopped delivering that was another thing. Unhook the feed line and be sure there's gas coming in when you turn on the key.

I am positive the fuel pump is working, that is how I got the gas to pour down the carb, I pulled the feed line and placed it in a glass bottle and turned the car "on" then replaced the feed line.

After going thru the carb thouroughly with about 3 cans of carb cleaner, it started and ran off the carb cleaner that was in the bowls (i forgot to hook up the fuel cut relay jumper). Charging battery again, will update shortly
