Question Clutch slave/release line busted

well i was driving last night and all of the sudden my clutch just went to the floor with almost no pressure. I figured it was fluid leaking somewhere. anyway. the rubber line on the passenger side of the slave( or release...whatever you call it.) cylinder was busted.

I had no time to look at it last night, but do they sell this line or the whole cylinder assembly at autozone or advance or napa.

what is the best thing to do.

I gonna go to napa right now, but any other help is appreciated.

From what I can tell it's sorta on the special side. It might be a little hard to find without ordering. Of course, you could get lucky.

Good luck!

I think there are two different thread pitches, so be sure you get the right one.

The one that goes to the bracket attached to the firewall? that has a pretty common thread, should be able to get a replacement at any good brake and clutch garage

madatrix sells a stainless steel braided line exactly for your application. I bought this for myself and it has been working great. Keep in mind they WILL charge you $7 for shipping on it!

That line was the first repair I ever did on my 7 - 10 years ago!

It's a dealer part, not too expensive, not too bad to change. I did it as the first car repair type thing I'd ever done. I hadn't even done an oil change yet!

I have a similar problem, not sure if my hose is bad, or if I'm leaking fluid (haven't checked but my clutch is feeling a little weak) anyway, I had JUST bought and installed that hose for my FC before I ::coughcoughcrasheditcoughcough:: and was wondering if anybody knows if it's the same hose that an 87 fc would use? (into an 84)
