can't you smell that smell?!

cars been runnin great, droppin in a new rad tommorrow, but back to the question at hand.
i 've been noticing lately that there is this bad smell comming form my car, like burning oil or buring clutch. neither of which makes sense, casue i looked everywhere for oil, adn i'm not losing any. the clutch has less then 10,000 miles on it. i THINK it onyl happens when the heat is on, which again makes no sense. this is very confusing and is starting to get bad, like my girlfriend goes, "dude is your freakin car on fire or something?" (its really not). Anyone know of anything odvious i'm overlooking?
car is stock mostly, with a new tuen up, mech sec., new brakes and stuff. i'm sure it wont be so bad in the summer, cause i'll have windows down and sunroof off, but for now it sux.
thanks everyone, again!

Well, when you turn heat on, it draws air from the vents right under the windshield where the windshield wipers are. Maybe theres a smell from under your hood seeping in there?

Does it do this all the time? So as soons as you start your car? Or does it have to be warm? Look around your exahust and make sure nothing is stuck on there or anything.

it ONLY happens after the car has been running for at least 15min. exahust is OK, but i forgot to mention one thing, the air hose from air pump to cat came of and i was running car (without knowing it) for bout 2 hours with cat getting no fresh air. this has since been fixed, so i doubt this has anything to do with it. unfortunitally i can't really tell where it is comming from, i'll have to look closer tommorrow, it just seems to be "everywhere"

Check your OMP, maybe its seeping and getting onto the exhaust manifold.

Oh and nice Lynyrd Skynyrd reference.

In my years of all the car stereo i did at work. I have seen some pretty hot stereos, LOL No pun intended. But it would take a shitload of heat to melt the wires.. Ive never seen it from just ambient heat. If you cd player gets hot enough to melt the wiring, it will probally burn traces in the board or go into it thermal protect anyways...
