I think bridge ports are usually drilled out and then finished off with a die grinder and a cutting burr. So a drill press sounds like it could be a usefull tool for creating a bridgeport.

The big difference between a milling machine a drill press is weight mills are big and heavy to hold stuff firm and resist vibration. You cannot mill anything has any weight to it on a drill press. You could use a mill to do porting but only on the face egdes, not the depth or angle of the port.

good luck, seems like an aweful lot of trouble, unless you want to port a lot of housings real fast.

You'll need to write 2 cnc files If I'm not mistaken, b/c of the 2 sides to each rotor.
I really don't know why you wouldn't just get the templates and do them by hand.

Mazdatrix.com has the templates.

Maybe a streetporting code for the machine would be good. Jorx81, I think he said that he wanted to be able to do it for other people for less money, in which case a machine that does it for you would be nice. Good luck.

If I'm not mistaken my buddy uses a bridgeport end mill to bridgeport housings. His car was a monster so I guess it works

the ports would still need some pollishing by hand.

Oh yes, they certainly need to be shaped and cleaned up before considered complete.
