Beeping from dash area

Ok experts, new challenge for you. I'm down to chasing little nagging issues as my restomod of my GSLSE is basically complete with every system, exc. cruise control are functioning nominally. I want to talk to a nagg my 7 has. I get a beeping from the dash area and I am perplexed about what causes it. On start up I get all warning lights lit so warning systems seem OK. I occasionally get a non continuous...BEEP,BEEP.......................BEEP, BEEP. Sometimes just a few, sometimes it goes on for many cycles but it always stops after a time, does not matter whether the car is being driven or stopped at a light, cold, or warm. I know the buzzer sound from the tach, the buzz from the doors or seat belts, this does not seem to match anything I think should be normal sounding. Previous owner may have had an alarm system but I removed the box which was not wired up completely, (no power), that had no wiring going to the dash. I installed a static driver belt and have jumpered the click switch. The other day it beep beeped as I got out of the car! What the heck goes BEEP,BEEP in a mazda RX7GSLSE. Now that the stereo is working nicely with new speakers it's more of an annoyance. Or is the car just mad at me for not driving it enough?

My first instinct would be the door switch. It will normally beep when the key is not in and door open and door open. It will also light the driver's side keyhole and beep/light for a set number of seconds. There is what is called a rice light. There is a small "CPU" on the driver's side kick panel that also holds the flasher. It also has a buzzer within in that CPU.

I changed mine out for a LED one. Maybe that switch is bad in some way.

On a side note, from my experience, changing out the dash lights for LED is a pain in the ***. I had so many issues during testing I stuck with normal, new, lights.

Yes it is light blue. OEM replacement carpet set was a bargain. I am gradually painting/dyeing the trim from brown to blue. I know the trim colors don't match up well but looks better than the stock mud brown worn out ones that were in the car. I'd like to repaint the car to Daytona blue metallic color. Everyone loves this paint job though and advises to keep it.

If the paint job is fine, I'd leave it and put the money elsewhere like on some go fast parts. As for dyeing the trim, it might be better to swap them with black panels from another car and accent certain areas (ie: door panel centers, center console trim) with light blue material that closely matches the carpet. My car has the same color combo and I don't like the brown either!

I'll bet the "beeping", probably more like a screeching, is the oscillator. It's an easy fix, just unplug it.
