Die Hard is definitely the answer. At the start of the movie where Hans' 5-ton truck is driving through the city to get to the building, the 1st gen appears behind the truck just as it makes a right turn. It is dusk, its headlights are flipped up and I don't remember seeing the tell-tail verticle cooling slots in front of the front tires. I will check tonight to see if I can see and also grab a screenshot of it.

there's also one in "The Italian Job" visible from the top right before/after they drop the armored truck into the subway.

and there's another random sighting i dont remember.

 

Why don't they have any of these in Fast and the Furious and stuff like that ?!

Probably because the ricer's don't want to be disgraced.

 

or maybe its because its a 1st gen... and not really many people know/care what they are.

 

Also a 1st gen in Cannonball run. Early in the movie when they are all at the hotel where it starts they show it in 3 different scenes, starting with right after the 2 rednecks/NASCAR guys drive the car into the pool (Mel Tillis and Terry Bradshaw). You see it thru a fence. Then it appears again in a pan shot of the parking lot, then again soon after. Its white with some weird stripes and a whaletail. Kinda like the 79 daytona winner but with yellowish stripes.

 

hah, good call, i remember seeing that... i watched Cannonball Run on Autorotica on the speed channel a couple of months ago.

 

I know there's a first gen in Matrix Revolutions during the freeway chase scene. its blue, and a FB. look for it, i cant get a screenshot...
