I've had five Gen 1 cars, two from new and three second-hand. Also a Gen 2 from new but I didn't like it at all. I'm really old I guess, at 73.
Present one is a Savanna RX-7 LSD (previously on here on another thread).

I'm 19, already been in the Army, and i'm an Assistant Manager at a whataburger now. I'm about to take over the General Manager's position within a year. I've had an 85 Plymouth Reliant, a 96 Plymouth Neon, and now my cars are in my signatures. I'm probably going to take on another two or three after i pay off my truck.

Another Gramps
Hi Guys,
At 42, I'm probably at the other end of the scale than most. I bought my first (1979) RX in '83 and sold it before I went overseas (Army)in '85. Then came home after savinga wad of dough from being in the desert with nothing to spend it on and bought a brand new GSL-SE (gunmetal/Maroon leather) from a dealer in Kansas City (Blue Springs) as the new 2nd Gens were coming out and he wanted to move it off the lot. Cost about 16K if I recall. Drove it for a long time. Could take any of the Stangs, Supras and 300ZX's at the time without much problems. Chicks liked it too!
Kept it till the Corvette bug bit me and I sold it (like a dummy) and boughta 67 Roadster. Ended up selling that later and was Mazda-less till quite recently.
Well recently got the Mazda bug again and picked up a Tender Blue 85 GSL-SE, a 84 GSL (automatic) and am looking at another SE. I've got four daughters and I want them all to have SE's for thier first rides.
Love the forum and it helps a lot with the technical stuff I've forgotten over the years.
Thanks

I'm more into the unique engine thing myself.. I have a '02 WRX and a 85 GSL... So that covers the Turbo boxer engine and the rotary engine.. and now im in search of another engine that suits my fancy.
Maybe ill go for a Turbo rotary

I am the original owner of the 83 Misty Blue, and it looks about like the day it came off the showroom floor. The 85GSL I got last summer looks pretty good, too, but needs a clutch.
I'm 66 with 2 7s and looking for 2 more: a nice 85SE and a nice 79 SA. But don't tell my wife! But she's been better since I let her drive the 85 a little: maybe I should keep it just to placate her.

I'm 36 and on my second FB. First one I bought when I was 24, had a SP 13B with a Mikuni, RB headers..yadda yadda..kept it for 3 years and sold it to buy a house. Bought an 85 GSL in near mint shape in March and am already starting the fun all over again. Already got my old style BBS 15x7 rims on the car and a 45 DCOE, RB dual exhaust, and a Mariah air dam ready to go! WOO HOOO! (Now should I go back to 13B SP or maybe a bridge, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm)
Oh crap, I think I heard my wife locking up the checkbook and the VISA card again!

Old man, Digger? I'm 51. I'm grateful for the help I've received from the folks in this forum. I have a 13B powered 79 F/P "Special" autocrosser and 84 GSL-SE which doesn't get driven much, (my daily driver is a 5.0 Mustang). Plus 2 83 parts cars/lawn sculptures. I got the bug years ago driving my buddies 82. He ran CSP for years. Now it's converted to FP as a low cost mod. Last event mine was just over a second slower than his. I have MUCH to learn about suspension tuning.
I haven't told my wife about the 3rd FB in the driveway: got it free one day after she left for 2 months in France. I'm there now and I'll have 2 weeks to get it out of there after I return, before she does. She doesn't like cars cluttering the driveway.

I'm old enough to be some of ya'lls mom, but still young enough to have fun..that said I'm over 40 but under 50!
I drive an 85 gsl-se w/158,000 had it now for 3 years. got it for $750 at a local auction.
Had a BF who used to work on it for me, I kept the car and let him go. It's been more reliable!
