You keep saying that .... I own a 1st gen now. I've talked about moving back to Dallas, but I have no job there yet so I can't really move back. I've been consulting here in TN and that is going ok, so I'm going to stick with that for a little while longer. I will live in either TN or TX. I'll be back for a visit sometime in July-hopefully.

At age 27 (12 years ago) after six months searching for just the right RX-7, I plunked down some good faith money on a '85 GSL-SE only to have the seller call me the next day and tell me it was stolen overnight. It seems two people came to test drive the two seater, the owner let them go and while they were out they had a dupe key made. I was heart broken.
One month later I found my perfect car (another '85 GSL-SE) even better than the first and I've been happily driving it ever since. So here I am, 39 years young and loving evey minute of this car still!

I'm 20 years old, had a 1991 Ford Tempo as a first car, beat the **** out of it and than I bought my Mazda from my neighbour for $1500. Perfect condition, no rust, the paints a little dull but theres no rot under the wheel wells. And now I also own a 88 merkur xr4ti shitbox. It's basically a Ford that's made in germany, and it feels like my Mazda is the "normal" car while my merkur is the weird one because it has something called a "piston engine" in it? Does anyone know what that is?

I'm glad Digger is around so I'm not the old fart at 39. Fortunately I've had more RX-7s than kids as I'm picking my fourth (RX-7 that is) tomorrow night. Looking forward to an 84 GSL-SE to go along with my 85 GS (unless someone wants to buy it). No room to park in the driveway anymore.

I'm forty and female, I should do a gender poll. When I was in high school my neighbor got a brand new 79 rx and it was covet at first sight. My first was a 85 GSL that I had for 6 yrs. I now have 2 85's and am working on picking up fb #3. I'm still looking for a GSL-SE.

Just turned 22... I've had my RX-7 since I was 16, from 65,000 kms to her current 130,000 kms. Also have driven a 1987 Camry station wagon to 287,000 kms (sold, believe it or not) and still driving my 91 Civic hatch in the wintertime. The Civic has 237,000 kms so far; hoping for a few more outta her.

Drove my first car in 1938! Not licenced but still remember it as a birthday gift, My father had a Bugatti 35, if we had kept it I would be rich now!
If there is still gas left in the world I intend to drive at a 100mph on my 100th, in an RX-7 of course.

Why did you stop at 50 ? I'm 57 and i just bought an 86 from a 81 year old gentleman. He is moving into a condo and had to get rid of two of his four cars. The ad read "classic RX-7 needs a good home"

First new car was an RX-3 in 1973. I paid the extremely high price of $4500 for it. It was between the Suburu GL coupe at $2595 and the MGBGT at $4900. I've had rotarys ever since. Currently have 2) FBs and 1 LA (RX-4).
I tried the 25th birthday ploy, Mantis. It only works five years or so.

I got into rotaries at the age of 13. At one point owned three '79 and five '80 RX-7's. Got rid of them all when I joined the miitary. Have since own a 1993 Ford Escort, 2001 S-10 and currently own a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V and a 1980 RX-7..
