Well since I was in the tinkering mood, I decided to get out the sheet metal brake to make a heat shield to go in between the intake and the turbo/down-pipe out of some thin aluminum. I will be using some self adhesive heat shielding plates to put on the "hot" side of the shield. This is what I thinking in terms of the heat shielding....

Nice sev dude. You gonna paint the flares or leave them black?
You should try and get it sitting a bit lower that would look sick!
How much clearence do you have with the inside of those wheels and the springs/shocks?

Thanks,
For now I am just going to paint them satin black however I do have enough paint to color match them, I just do want to do it now. The ride height is going to be a bit lower, I had them raised up because last time I set them it was for getting traction. Its also sitting a little higher because the 3rd gen tranny is out of the car.

Thanks! I will try and get some interstate vids up, I keep on forgetting to bring my camera.
I went to APE and had a tip welded on to deflect some of the exhaust off of my bumper.

I have already wrapped the down pipe, however I don't want to put a "beanie" on the turbo because it is only oiled cooled.
Here are a couple pics of the fender cutting/welding, boost controller installed, and the down-pipe wrap.

Fenders after cutting/slotting

Spot welding

Seam sealed after painting (after the sealer dried I painted the area again)
