I was just wondering if anyone of you guys know if this is the plug in the manual steering rack to add more oil? I've been noticing that my steering wheel has gotten a little harder to turn and it also making a creaking sound.
Nothing groundbreaking here, but I had a little time today so I threw together the flange I will be using on my exhaust. As of now exhaust work is planned to happen near the end of March. Pretty simple stuff; first time using Fusion 360 as well.

Did a few things recently on the SA. First was installing some new platinum spark plugs in leading and stock in trailing (BUR7EQP's and BR8EQ14's) as my old ones were due for a change and the DFI conversion really eats through those copper plugs. Big improvement after doing this. Run's smoother, seems to have a little more torque, even sounds different - more like a later gen car. Definitely happy with the upgrade.
Next thing I did was finally install the middle rear trunk trim/carpet in my car. I've had it ever since I bought the car but I never installed it. It's pretty faded (I mean, it's not like the rest of the car is a show piece by an means) but it certainly looks more complete with it and its carpet installed.
Yesterday I rebuilt my sunroof latch mechanism. Took some slightly better condition parts from one of my spares (from an FB) and put them into the SA **** assy. Put a little grease on the gears and cleaned everything up and now it's finally smooth again. I also swiped three screws from that spare crank as mine has only had one holding on the top 'clip thing' ever since I bought it. Hopefully there'll be less rattles, we'll see.
I also had the chance yesterday to get some work done on the Nikki. As it stands now I have one secondary venturi at 29.5mm and it should end at 30.0mm when all is done. The carb is also now completely disassembled on the bench and I'm breaking out my plating setup to go back and finish up what I didn't get to before. I'm also fixing the retimed secondary linkages I made as I didn't design them quite right the first time around. Once the carb is sorted I'll be working on getting the idle transition circuit figured out, and then after that happens I'll throw in the new secondaries and get tuning them. Finally have a wideband as well, so this time I can actually see some data on what I'm fiddling with. Soon here I'll resurrect the Intake and Nikki Modding thread to keep track of progress.
The exhaust is still at least a month out by my guesses; parts are back ordered and due to the virus production has slowed a bit. Hopefully will see those parts in hand within three or so weeks.
Lastly, the clutch issues I've been facing might finally be getting sorted out. It's still at least a week out, but I have a hunch on what might be causing some issues - I'll update the thread when more progress has been made.
Edit: Oh, and I completely forgot about the radio project. It hasn't made any progress for a while as I need to order some parts, but that might get started back up in a month or so depending on a few things. Looking to have it complete before summer, although I'm not sure how realistic that is at this point. The idea is that I'm building (or trying to build; I've never done something like this before so I'm learning as I go) a headunit from scratch. My goal is to have bluetooth functionality and then your average radio functions, but also to be well integrated into the console and look relatively factory - I'll be redoing the center console whenever this happens in order to fully integrate it. So far everything works: bluetooth and radio playback, menu's, ect... but I've run out of space on the microcontroller I was using so I need to go to something a little larger. I might make a thread for it once I make some more progress.

Last week I had to drive the 7 around since the daily needed an alternator and noticed the engine shook a little more than usual, especially when cold with the Weber.
After 10 years the urethane engine mount for the RE-Speed crossmember disintegrated. I have an aluminum version but replaced it with another piece of urethane, this time wrapped in heat insulation.
Just flushed the brake and clutch fluids. Next up is greasing everything (steering knuckles, idler arm, drive shaft ujoints). After that I'll redo the front suspension (too much camber) and realign it. Should be ready to go whenever we can gather again.
Longer term, I have a rear axle from a 79 with only 33K on it and I have LSD from a friend. I want to strip the axle, clean it up, paint it and then get all new rear links and install it with the LSD in there.
Benjamin4456, since you have the ignition for it, try the RX8 plugs. They work even better and will last way longer.
Installed New/Rebuilt Starter Motor on my 84 GSL-SE Today .....The original one was starting to give up the ghost when i started the car a few times ...So didnt want to take chances and end up stranded somewhere ..besides that the car has been running beautifully as i drive it more and more as it was not used much by the original owner and sat for long periods of time in a Garage which was the saving grace .....
