I had one of those Scosche kits. Complete garbage. I wound up having a fab shop bend up a bracket out of stainless. A fool and his money are quickly parted, but it fits.

Got the last of the chassis wiring and my foglight wiring buckled down, polished up the dizzy and stabbed her in, and started stripping paint from the air pump preparatory to polishing it. Repainted the pulley & bracket to gloss black, and got shiny new hardware for it.
Supposed to rain here the next couple nights... right when I need to be doing some painting and such. Sigh. Well, maybe I can get an early start on my carburetor.
I'm hoping to be only a couple weeks from first start up, but I expect to be diddling with the carb for a bit unless I get lucky.
State of the Crate:

And yes, those are brand-spankin'-new heater hoses.

^You gotta love what you do.
I have determined the S5 turbo I've been vying for isn't going to work out so well in the baja. Not sure if I feel relief of despair. Relief that I don't have to upgrade everything else to handle the excess power, but sad that I can't turbo my rotary baja, not without said power handling mods. I even ordered a walbro with the very last of my money.
So then, into the REPU? It is the final frontier. These are the voy-. Ok that was annoying. What I meant to say was I've already tried just about everything else in the truck. The current setup just doesn't wow me. It's nice but I know a turbo would wow me greatly. Only problem, if you could call it that, is I put a lot into its long primary exhaust which would all have to come out and start over. How committed am I? That is the question. What is my budget? Does that really matter right now? Yes. Kind of. (not sure if sarcasm mode was on/off there)
partial checklist:
boost prepped nikki - almost check
nikki stud pattern 13B manifold - check
custom exhaust manifold because the stock one doesn't fit the frame rails - not check
walbro - soon check
3" downpipe - check
3" presilencer - not chec- no let's go 2.5" presilencer with a 3" DP - check
2.5" flanges - nearly check (might have to buy one)
2.5" really big muffler - check (should be all the muffling needed)
The check to non check ratio is low at this point. I just need to commit to this idea and start checking things off the list.
What do you guys think? Should I turbo the REPU?
Ok now on to FB stuff. An order will arrive tomorrow so I can get started on an engine build for the blue '81. It's got its original Y side plates and a set of EGR+thermal reactor divindriver style 13B housings. Plates were ported to 74 spec. The housing came stock with GSL-SE port timing so I left them alone. The rotating assembly is from an R5 13B. The full flow oil squirters in the shaft will get replaced with some checkball types from a beehive 12A or an FC/FD since they all had big *****.
Either Atkins apex seals or OEM low mileage (still debating). Flywheel is a light steel from RB. Disc and pressure plate are stock 215mm. Exhaust is full RB "streetport". Fuel pump is a 110gph Carter (I know it's big but it's already in there). Intake is not determined but might get a stock Hitachi. Waterpump is FC modded to fit a 1st gen engine.
Oh and yesterday I worked on side plates and housings for the Luna engine.

It's not what I did to it today but what we did over the course of 4. Started with a cruise...to Atalanta to meet the DGRR caravan, the a quaint drive with another 25 or so of it's friends, followed by two days of Dragon runs, one of which had me reel in a V8 miata. Finally we made the 16 hour trip back to the garage. She's plastered with bugs, the once polished wheels are now a dull grey/black from brake dust, The tires now havethat nice 'heat cycled' look, and a couple hundred more redlines older. All that and not one complaint from the ol girls, had a blast.
well after trouble shooting my sputtering issue, i found out that the fuel filter was clogged, so i replaced the fuel filter and added some sea foam and success, i was able to drive it around, so i put it in the garage, replaced the suspension, wheels, took all the interior out, shampooed the rug and seats, cleaned everything, took my windows out to adjust the wheather striping, while out i decided to tint them, also found a front grill for this one since it was missing.
here are some pics , enjoy:

More strip and prep of the rotating accessories, polished the contacts of the cap and rotor & popped them in place, installed the spark plugs, & cleaned up the plug wires.
Time to start cleaning and testing the ratsnest solenoids. Plan for weekend (weather permitting) will see me finishing up the painting and polishing remainders, and may have everything except the carb back in the car if all goes well.
I think it's time to replace my vacuum lines - - they are discolored and some are fuel-saturated from my previous endless floods - - but I may just clean and re-use them one more time for the sake of completion. I can replace them pretty much any time, & they should be functionally fine - they are just sort of grotty looking.
Silicone vacuum lines will let fuel migrate right thru them if they stay wetted long enough, & a floody Nikki will let fuel backwash several of the lines that have apertures above the throttle plates.

Aside from a second bead of RTV that needs to be put on the seams tomorrow these are now finished.
Also, damn this forums picture limitations. These were taken with my brand new Canon and looked fantastic until I uploaded them. What gives? Suggestions?

So far no one has agreed with me on the red but I wanted something different that would be really eye catching. I think with car sitting low it should look good. It's also the highlight color in the engine bay. Good or bad it'll get looks.
