Just pulled my car out of the barn today.fired up pretty quick took it up and down the drive way. Tomorrow I'm gonna rewire the a relay for the oreily fuel pump and see I've that clears up my starvation issue at the top of third. If not, the Holley blue is going on.

Cleaned up the rotors and rotor housings from the donor engine I got a few weeks back with some Purple Power and a little elbow grease. Just waiting for the seal and gasket kit to arrive so I can finish rebuilding my engine and get my baby back on the road.

Been a minute so i figured I'd throw in some progress updates (pics to come, probably tomorrow).
Tuesday I spent some time routing the wiring for the pyrometer and wideband O2 sensor. Mounted the gauges in the a-pillar pod.
Wednesday I routed the wires through the cabin and mounted the Gauges / A-pillar assembly. Began tapping into the wiring harness - will finish up tonight.

The last 2 or 3 days, I've really been trying to finish up restoring these Riken reverse mesh I picked up almost a YEAR ago
I made good progress on the final wheel today... Getting Close!
But, even after the 25 + hours invested in them.. I think I'll be putting them up for sale/trade soon..

Keep me updated on this, interested where you tap in to. I need to redo the wiring to my stereo and gauges because the buzzer just clicks instead of beeping. New UEGO and other gauges to be installed as well, trying to decide where to tap into for the best connection. Never would I have thought I'd miss that incessant beeping...

So I finished the A-Pillar gauge pod install - i thought long and hard, test fitted time and time again to determine which gauge should be on top. After much deliberation, i put the wideband O2 on the bottom and the EGT on top - thinking that the bouncing AFR would drive me nutso, and having a backlit EGT gauge would be much more soothing on top. WRONGO!!
As soon as I fired up the car and actually saw the gauges with backlight I realized that no, the wideband needs to be on top.
That EGT is bright!!! I need to put a resister or something on the illum line, cut it in about half brightness.
Pics to come once I get these shenanigans worked out.

Driving home from work and somebody just had the urge to race me.
I tried to pass him, but oh no he matched my speed. This continued all the way to 100 where he backed off and I continued, just to get away from him. After I slowed down he just had to do a ricer fly-by.
******* dicks in BMW's.
It's very rare that I have a nice, sweet ride anywhere.

Took the GSL-SE for a drive to grocery store and ended up at the car stereo place and bought some speakers. The 28 year old stock speakers have had it. Especially the ones in the kick panel. I realized I couldn't take it anymore! I took pictures or the process but I am having problems getting them resized. Everyone has seen this stuff anyway. I got the rear speakers installed and they sound better.
Also removed the rubber whip antenna a previous owner had installed and I will take the working real antenna off the GSL-EV and install that tomorrow. I will post pictures tomorrow after the swap out.

Also, Redliner: like I said when we installed the speakers, find you a set of FB kick-panels - they have grills on them that will clear the tweeters on the speakers, and are carpeted. Though, there's nothing wrong with making a fresh set out of hardboard and using the grilles that came with the speakers. For bonus look-goodness, wrap them in vinyl. It will still be period, but look much better than the bare painted hardboard.
What did I do to mine today? I mowed the weeds trying to hide it, and one of the SEs. I made sure to pat it as I went by. Gotta get the storage building finished and the garage cleaned out before any more major auto projects. I'm tired of my just-sloped-enough driveway trying to kill me.
