Looking at buying a 1984 rx7 gsl-se 13B

Been really interested in rx7's for the longest time. Dont know anything about them but would love to learn. Recently found a 1984 mazda rx7 gsl-se 13B for sale for 700 Canadian dollars. Iv'e been talking with the guy and he says he has had it running but it smokes white. Thinks its something to do with the o-rings in the coolant section. (which I know nothing of). Says the transmission feels good but the slave cylinder isnt working. Body wise its not to bad a few small dents and a little rust. Just wondering if this would be a smart purchase? I know nothing about rotary's but would be willing to put the time into learn. Here are some pictures of the car
