Hello everyone!

I think i have finally found the rx7 i am waiting for. The engine, electronics, and transmission checks out good! Only strange thing is the paint and the exhaust.

The owner states that the car has never been repainted, BUT there are spots on the car where there are red and even blue underneath the black paint. I have search a little bit and have only found the paint codes online.
I am wondering if the painting process puts any base paint before having black paint overlaid on it.
Maybe my searching technique is bad? If anyone has experience or knows where to find the info, please point me in the right direction

the whole car may not have been repainted. that blue on the bumper looks like paint transfer from either the car rubbing against something blue or it may have been backed into and the blue rubbed off. that driver front fender is an obvious replacement from a red car then painted black. wasn't prepped well cause it's now pealing off. not from being wrecked, but maybe dented and a previous owner replaced it. other fender the paint is chipped off to bare metal, now with surface rust, the light gray color is just the primer. not sure what ur trying to show in the pic of battery/AC compressor. that muffler is just missing the other piece chrome tubing.

 

Thank you Michael! I figured out the muffler bit last night.

I was trying to show how there are a bit of red paint peeling off where the battery tray was.

I decided I am going to get this! IF the lien/loan check from the lien holder comes back clear and the owner accept my offer. Its too pristine!
