I have a S4 13B turbo motor in my S2, I also have some of the components including a GT3540 Garrett. A few things to add, and a little bit of elbow grease and I'll be there.

Just picked up a new project, bridgeported 12A. Going to put the T76 on it with a blow through Weber from Rotaryshack.com
Just need to work out the fabrication on the exhaust manifold and settle on the intake.

I think it will be easier fabricating and settling than getting ahold of RS. But he did good by me slowly but surely. At least youll have plenty of time

well guys, i am finally about to join the club! in my grasp i am staring at... mallory 4309; msd fuel pump, hsk ssqv bov, magnaflow muffler, manual boost controller, boost gauge on my floor. coming in the mail any day now is... turbo (ported wastegate), manifold, stainless braided lines, clutch. within a week or two i will be completing a deal for a brand new.. never before made, special setup carb from someone who's one of the best... MUHUHAUHAHAHAAA!!!! anywho, am i missing anything? the downpipe will be part of the custom piping i'm getting done. i feel like there is something else. intercooler will come later.

hmmm, only thing I see missing is carb hat.
Are you going to run the oil return line to the front cover or to the oil pan?
So you gave up on the blowthrough holley? That's too bad, mine should be done in 1 month tops. We can compare times.
They should be close until i get my half BP built up.

The Cause of Death
next winter, while i'm at college, i hope to large streetport my motor, and also turbocharge it
the odds of the turbo are slim, the streetport has a good shot though

damn.. I feel left out :[ what about the few of us that use to own a boosted 1st gen? Hearing you guyz talk about it..makes me want to build another one. But truly, if you've never owned [driven for a period of time] a turboed 1st gen.. then you will not understand the joy it brings. Directfreak understands now.. right?
My favorite saying back then was "line it up"

TII turbo, ported wastegate
RotaryShack Weber 48 DCO-SP
Custom Aluminum tube intake manifold(made by me)
Aluminum carb hat(made by me)
Two TII intercoolers(1 endtank cut off each, cores welded together)

I don't have pics of the finished car yet, but here's pics of the intake.

I finished my turbo 1st gen last summer, and have been loving every minute. I went with jspec so i could get the intake manifold, cas, and the t2 trans. Like most jspes, it was already blown up. So i used the block as a core for a mazda remanufactured stock port S5 turbo motor. I then bolted on all my goodies I had collected over a period of about 7 months, and did all the fabrication required. For all of those thinking of the swap, there is alot of headache for the do-it-yourselfer, but it will pay you back in the end.
Here is a couple pics of my turbo 1st gen

I just acquired an S5 TII engine, trans, ECU, FCD and HKS BOV. Took the 12a out last friday in about an hour and a half. Got an SE front cover and oil pan. Just need to get the cover machined, and the RB 12A-13B mount and the motor goes in. It seems simple, easy and fast, but I'm sure there's quite a bit more that I've got to do.
