FB Vented gas cap???

Anyone know where i can get one? the only i found that fits the fb is too tall and does not let the gas door close properly. i need one vented since i have modded my tank and i dont feel safe leaving an open vent underneath the car, so i'd rather use a gas cap that properly vents the tank. thanks for input!!

Here is one that I found through Black Dragon Auto. It is a locking one, I am not sure if it is vented or not. You could give them a call. This might also be another one that is too big. Just for you to check out.

The rest of us just open vent after removing the charcoal canister and whatnot.` Just run a hose down the side of the tank to a mini air breather filter if you want.

Thats the only option i got left. The height of vented caps doesnt let the gas door close properly. Any suggestions on breather boxes? I was thinking of a small crankcase box commonly used in the vw crowd.

Use a charcoal canister? Or a check valve with a mini breather filter on it.

I know I'm totally necroing this thread but I tried this and it works but if you corner hard and petrol sloshes up the fill neck the vapor pressure will spurt gasoline out the pinhole and it'll run down the side of the car. I drilled like a 1/32 hole and this is what happens to me. I need to find out where the stock vent setup is clogged..

Ddi anyone ever come up with a simple gas cap tank venting remedy. I installed a mikuni 44 carburator on my 12A, and in Arizona the heat pressurizes the gas tank and pushes fuel past the Carb needle float and fills the carb bowls then out the throats. Does anyone know if they make a mini one way bleeder valve that can be adapted our cap?

On my mikuni I ran a tee on fuel inlet. To a return to the tank with a check valve on the return. Carter 4070 pump and a low pressure regulator from aeromotive that was made for Weber's. Regulator was expensive. But only one that worked with that carb. Pressure set at 2.5 or 3. I had same problem with pressure creep. It ran hard with that set up. Wish I didn't sell it.

Your vent tube is clogged or the hose is clogged at the check valve under the car. Just run the vent to the nipple on the center iron and the run a pcv valve from the nipple on the oil fill tube into your air cleaner, problem solved. Thats what I have and no whooosh when I open the cap.
