Analog clock losing time

I have an SA and thus have the nifty analog clock in the instrument cluster. But the darn thing won't keep time. I haven't found any other threads about it, nor any mentions of it being a common problem. Is it a known problem and is there a simple fix (or slightly a complicated fix is ok, I suppose)? Thanks.

Apologies for offering no practical fix information. For the sake of commiseration, I remember every single clock in my parents' cars was completely unreliable. I think at the time our RX7s were built, it was just an accepted fact that any analog clock was going to be wrong. Hell even the digital clock in my wife's 2010 Nissan loses time.

My SA clock keeps perfect time. I would check to make sure all your grounds are good just to make sure.

OK, maybe this: there is a clock relay on the back of the cluster. I always assumed if the relay was failing, the clock would just stop working, but perhaps if the relay is failing it may present as losing time, rather than the clock just dropping dead with a bad relay?
FWIW swapping out the clock and/or the relay is not difficult. Cluster comes out without too much drama-

Clock relay is box on the RIGHT of the photo, behind where the clock is located.

It is trying to get itself back to the 1980's where car's were better.

After I think about that more, most cars of the 80's were brutal. I think the SA/FB Rx is a rare exception...

Worth taking the cluster out to take a look but I would be wearing of causing more harm.
