1985 GS throttle linkage

I have a 1985 GS. The throttle linkage spring (accelerator arm spring) broke, the throttle return spring lever bent, and the cable popped off.

1. Going off the Carb rebuild manual by littlest, the two parts I need are
a. 142- Spring Accelerator arm
b. 145- Throttle return spring lever
where can I find these for sale? Mostly the spring. I can probably bend the throttle return back into place.

2. It looks like after removing the rear lever assembly nut I can slide the linkage off to work on it. Is this a viable option or do I need to pull the carb off?

3. Because it came apart before getting an opportunity to take a look... is it correct to say the accelerator cable was connected to the throttle return lever? to turn the throttle linkage or does the cable connect somewhere else?
