1984 rx7 Air Cleaner Resto Mod

Hi, does anyone here know what the color of the original “BLUE” air cleaner is? Maybe the color name? Is there a spray paint that maybe similar?

Thanks in advance for any comments or thoughts…😎

Mazda has actually used different shades of blue as well as completely different colors for earlier cars but the one associated with 1st gen Rx-7's is Impulse Blue, code AY.

Thanks for the info Banzai! I've often wondered the same thing but didn't know Mazda used an actual paint code for the air cleaner housing!

Just info gleaned from the colors of 79 / 80 sticky. It was KYPREO who first identified it. Pays to regularly read the forums.

Not that I’m aware of..: I have seen a few air cleaners custom painted high gloss black with white vinyl lettering and they look sharp.
