Now that winter is close, I was going through some pics from the summer.
I just love how clean and simple a S2 FB interior is. Only changes are:
Alcantara shift boot and brake boot
Momo prototipo with custom horn button
Coco mats carpets
Innovate gauges... oil press and temp.. coolant temp and voltage... and AEM wide and AFR

I love the S2 dash....It's more classic than the all squared out S3....
Wow, Thats one beautiful and clean looking car. Looks like it was originally a California emissions equipped car. Is it Stardust Blue (U2 paint code)? Simply gorgeous!

Thanks. Car was purchased original in CA by my uncle, so yes - equipped for CA emissions. He sold it to his brother (my other uncle) a few years after purchase. That 2nd uncle passed away last year, and I inherited the car. Last records I was able to find show it was driven and had some work done in 1997 at about 62750 miles. I'm 99% sure it sat in his garage in Denver (thus the CO plates in the photos) untouched since 1997. I brought it back out to CA at the end of 2020, and had some work done to get it running (mostly fuel system clean up and refurb), and it just ticked over 63000 miles a few weeks ago. It runs beautifully!
As for the color, I think you're right about the U2 paint code but to be honest I can't find any record of that.
Some of the original docs and things (I also have the orig owner's manual - not pictured):
looking good there LW. question though, what all did u do to eliminate the check/choke relay and all the other stuff that, according to wiring diag, the charging system goes thru? and do u still use the stock voltage gauge?
