It's aftermarket. The 1979 never had cruise.

You've got good eyes. Probably 20 years ago I added remote control mirrors and, after removing the coin slots from the console I added three switches: one for the fog lamps, a double throw so you move it left to control the left mirror and right for the right, and then a toggle switch to move the mirror in the four directions.

Was playing around with a cool editor to give any pic you upload a "tilt shift" look. Will look a lot better with a pic taken at more of a distance.

Angry Summers Over

Took my last run of the year this morning and put my RX-7 up for the winter, hope it's a short one!

Just bought this 1979 SA on Friday. It was built in March 1979. Bone stock original, no mods.
Limited Edition with just 24K miles on it. It's in amazing condition and only needs a few things to get it sorted out..

Gary

That does look pretty nice. Does it still have it's pin stripes? Hard to tell from the pic's but it looks like they may have been removed. The antenna looks tweaked slightly too. Pretty common to have the nylon actuation rod inside the mast get brittle and break. All 79 Limited's had the digital quartz clock along with a different stereo, 2 tone gray velour / blue seats, leather covered shift **** and steering wheel, limited style waffles, the afore mentioned silver / burgundy pin stripes, Beat Black paint and special badging.

There is another exceptional Limited in CA, that has slightly more miles. A few of these have been surfacing here and there the last couple years.

The pinstripes have been removed and there is still residue marks left. I doubt that I would be able to find an OEM striping kit, so I might have a body shop try to replicate the stripes. I just need to find some good photos of an LE
that still have all of it's stripes, to duplicate the look. Yes, antenna is bent. Do you know of a replacement source? My car does have all of the other features that you mentioned and everything is in amazing condition.

Thanks,

Gary
