If you were creating a race car, one that will spend most of it's time at high speed I don't think that's the ideal setup. Ideally you would find a way to duct all radiator exhaust and IC exhaust air out the sides or over the car and setup either a flat bottom on the entire car or a tunnel (depending on the rules) Aft of the center of pressure and mass of the car you have a diffuser start to come up and make it as wide as possible. (again according to rules/design constraints)
All that said, the fabrication and engineering on that setup does look nice.
On my car I'm planning a completely flat bottom on the entire car, so I expect to duct the IC air out the hood and the rad air out the hood and side of the car. I plan to make all the panels easily removable so I can switch to a street configuration easily. I'm running Damian's front splitter/undertray/rad ducting, and I'm making the diffuser now. All the will be left is the middle pieces to connect the two.

I wish that someone would make a simlar hood that would have long enough extension it could be used for ic's at different angles and widths. Maybe something a little close to an elise hood.
We will produce this hood but not with mounting points... you need to make your own.
There also will be 2 vent in the back of the hood to vent hot air from the engine bay.

to be honest with you I haven't had a chance to test the setup yet. dyno tuning is scheduled for the 17th of this month. I'll let you know what kind of performance figures we're talking after that day.

just dynoed recently 424whp @ 18psi on e85. fairly happy with the numbers. I think the setup is working out well.

I know, I'm a picture *****.
Intercooler core is Bell Bar and Plate unit - 10.5 in x 14 in x 4.5 in - 770cfm at 10 psi, with a 1 psi pressure drop rating.
Radiator is canted at a 40 degree angle, with Spal 16in and 14 in fans installed. Under tray in place, but with the top sandwich panel removed.
