did anyone get to go?....i missed it because of work. I heard the rotary power drift car was tearing it up but got robbed and placed 19th.

 

I went he did get robbed. Ross was easy top 5 with his qualify run. I talked to him after the event. He thinks that he should have made it in too. a lot of people like the first qualify run, for some reason he didn't make it. Ross showed me a new car he's going to get in RB26 fastback, I don't know when he's going to get in it but I hate to see the Fd not be driven.

 

I will drive it....

 

I went, fun stuff.. few god accidents aswell.

 

Yea, when we got there he'd just finished a run and he was in 3rd place with the fd and 4th in the other car...but yes he was robbed...

 

Where in Longbeach was this at?

I'm actually glad that Ross is switching away from the FD. Now maybe they can get someone with some actual skill to drive the FD. Even the mechanics on that team agree that he can't drive! It's pretty bad when your own crew says you aren't any good.

 

will the grand prix be televised?

 

I don't think thats completely true, i think he gets robbed on most events ( probably because hes not sponsored by a a large manufacturer), otherwise he may be inconsistent at times. plus hes a 240 man, FD was too much for him maybe?? also, if his crew thinks he sucks then why let him drift for Rotary power?

 

It was teh mechanics that were voicing their opinions. You have to remember, the mechanics can hate you, but if your sponsor likes you then you are safe. And he's VERY inconsistent most all the time. There are several drivers out there looking for a ride that are better than Ross. I have nothing against him at all, actually I think he's a pretty cool guy. But I'm just being honest about his lack of talent.

 

well, like you said, i believe that was the last run for Ross and the FD (he'll be running his RB26 instead).....It might be the last run for the drift car also. But if its not, then hopefully they'll get another driver. maybe i can do it....yea rite..ill kill myself

 

And I do wish him the best of luck in his new car. Maybe this will be what he needed all along. I do hope that they don't stop campaigning the FD though. It's a good looking/sounding/running car. I thought I remembered one of the better known drivers wanting to switch rides.?.?. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

 

It's funny that you say to much power for him. Because the rotary power FD is what 360hp or something like that but he told me his new car "will cruse at 500hp" so well see I like Ross, true he hasn't really made it into many events at top 16, but there are drivers that may be real good but don't make it into competion that doesn't mean their garbage.
