GoRacer,
I have the stock ic. But I'm looking to replace that with a Blitz SMIC in time for the next tuning session.

Being ignorant to the issues my car had was great and now I am a typical RX7 owner wondeirng what else can be wrong and having the car become a money pit.

BUT its worth it as it still is my favorite car to run. And in time with money I will fix all these issues and have a tune that will yield power.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I came into that tuning session not knowing my *** from my elbow when it came to fixing the issues on my car, but now I know what I have to do to get it running right, and what parts I need to get it where I would like it to be. Believe you me, if there's another tuning session in California, I'll be one of the first people to send a deposit!

My tune was very successful overall! I peaked at 298.86 (call it 299!) Hp and 262 ft-lbs of torque @13#. Not bad at all for stock sequentials! But, it did get a boost spike to 15 which Steve recommended going back to the stock "pill" instead of the HD valve I have. He said duty cycle is too high too at 94% so I'll be upgrading to 1200cc secondarys soon. Other than that everything else worked fine. So I'm real pleased with my new motor built my yours truly (kudos to Karack on the street port!) and hats off to Steve for a tune well done!I really could feel the difference on the way home.

Here's a link to the pictures I took at Sevenstock and tuneday. It was nice meeting you guys...see ya next time.

overall it looks like everyone was happy with the results

issues happen and are unavoidable sometimes so all you can do is learn and fix 'em.

wish i could have stayed longer and met some more people but i only got home just a little while ago, always next time.

i should have brought my rear iron and put it on a chain and wore it around as a necklace.

i'm going to have to put up a wall of shame in the shop so i can be reminded of my mistakes, lol.

Steve had to stop at 10lbs. I had a turbo oil leak due to the wrong fitting being used, an unresolved fuel pressure fluctuation, missing bop melting my wire harness, alternator unpluged, strut bar nuts missing, etc. I picked it up supposedly ready from Mazdatrix the day before and drove 600mi breaking it in. I'm not very happy after 3 & 1/2 months with my car I got it in an undriveable condition 1 day before tuning and it's still undrivable.

I got 321rwhp on 91oct @ 10lbs. No dyno sheet.

DAMN! You've got some sick low-end torque. I've yet to ride in a sequential turbo car (that works "properly" ), but your dyno curve is to envy. V8/torquemongers can't argue with that. NOICE!

Block off plate - for air pipe to cat.
...yeah picked it up ($3k bill) with low water warning light, low oil warning light, clutch not working had to literaly shut engine off to change gears. Had one day to break in engine. drove to vegas and back the same day. got home at 2am, woke up at 6am. couldnt get spark plugs or oil filter off (too tight). Turbo still has oil leak and fluctuating fuel pressure is unresolved.

i wish.... my car isn't anything special, mainly because i don't charge astronomical prices for work, that and my house/shop payment keep me from sinking too much money into my cars. next year i will probably be bringing a full bridge datsun 510.

Oh darn, I didn't know and my mind wasn't there because of all the problems. That would have been a good souvenier for my receipt notebook. Thanks again for your help.
